Fashion

Redefining Fashion
By Cristiane Cornes

Since Mr. Worth, we have been told what to wear and what not to wear. Every year we come across different styles, colours that we should be using and extra thin models dictating what the new weight trend is.
Well, to me, it can be seen in less demanding ways. Fashion is like a cake. Follow the recipe of the common sense and you will achieve successfully what many try and get wrong. The reality is that not everything suits everyone. We do not come all in one shape, size and colour. The beauty of it, is diversity.
In my opinion, the secret is wear what make you feel good about yourself, give your own special touch, and you are making fashion history already. Revolutionize the look, and show the world the way it should be, break the rules because fashion is freedom, not a factory of robots that are fabricated in mass, looking all the same.
You are the white canvas ready to be transformed in a work of art, use your imagination, be audacious and prepared to conquer the world. Feel good about yourself, confidence will bring life to anything you wear.
Fashion is communication, express yourself without words, tell a story, by the way you look.

Save the Dolphins and Whales

Save the dolphins and whales

Dolphins and whales are being slaughtered every year by the Japanese, and we have to do something about it.

I just watched the documentary The Cove and felt the urge to express my feelings towards this matter that for a long time has been killing me inside, but I did not know what to do.

Until I realized that I had a voice, and I could do something to help these gorgeous, intelligent creatures that interact with us human beings, show affection and are smart and sensitive.

We can help protect them, only we can do it. These animals cannot express what they feel while living in captivity, and I cannot imagine what they feel while they are being murdered or being captured because it is beyond any human imagination. The pain they emit through the sounds when they are being killed is clearly a desperate crying for help.

Dolphins do not harm human beings. They feel, sense, smile and it is their right to be free. They live in the Oceans, and that is their place, there is where they belong to. They do not belong in a fish tank.

I have seen images of the cove before, and every time I see it, I feel physical pain and also feel completely powerless as I did not know what to do, until now.

Here is something we can all do. Go to www.takepart.com/thecove and see what you can do to help.

Thank you.
